Moon Palace All-Inclusive Resort In Cancun - A Review
Moon Palace All-inclusive Resort is a part of Palace Resorts . I got the chance to stay at Grand Resort, the newest resort of Moon Palace. And trust me, it really is a palace a huge palace, bigger than a university.
You can take a bus to get from place to place. That's how big it is. It will be hard to not get a sun bed there because there are five different kinds of pools as well as a huge area to sunbathe on the beach.
The Room
We stayed in a Superior Deluxe Resort view. We had two double beds, Jacuzzi a nice bathroom, tv, mini bar etc. You can get upgraded to get an ocean view.
Moon Palace resort is huuge so you can take a bus every 20 mins to wherever you want. Sometimes they come more often than that too.
Relaxation pool
This pool is perfect. If you want to chill and don't want to stay at beach or adult pool, this is the pool for you. Chill Latin music and Los Taco restaurant with a friendly staff.
Alberca de Adultos -Adult pool
The adult pool is amazing. You will have a lot of space and you can choose a room at the back, sunbed or sun chairs. This is not a pool for early birds, people usually come here around noon when DJ starts playing music. You can drink everything you want and also order food to where you sit.
Swim Up Bar - Caribenño
At this bar you can swim up to the bar and have your drink in the pool. It is in front of the Caribenño restaurant and is very close to the beach. I think this pool area was too hot for me and liked the beach area more.
The Beach
The beach is long and beautiful, but the sand is nice as long as you stay at the resort. I saw people swimming in the ocean but it didn't look so nice as it was a lot of algae as you entered the ocean.
I loved to chill on these beds when the sun was at it strongest. We were there in May so it was really hot. You can get beds with shade and you will have the nice ocean breeze as you won't have near many of the pools.
The Restaurants
Lounge bar Caribeño terrace
This is where you can chill by the ocean there are lots of sun beds where they will serve you to with drinks etc.
Habibi - Lebanese Restaurant
This was one of my favourite restaurants. The food was absolutely delicious. Great staff and definitely a good option for breakfast as the buffet in the Grand Lobby building.
Lobby Bar
This bar is usually open quite late and I absolutely love the details in the ceiling.
Le Chateau - The French Restaurant
This is the fanciest restaurant at the whole resort where you have to dress up really nice.
The Peruvian Restaurant
The staff at this new restaurant were the greatest. They were so nice and really took care of us. My favourite restaurant of the whole resort.
The Ladies Room
Don't worry about space for makeup and change this is a dream bathroom for the ladies, absolutely gorgeous.
Unique nightclub
I loved this nightclub. It was only open on Monday, Wednesdays and Saturdays when we were there. I experience no dress code what so ever. We saw people even dancing in pyjamas. It was a great vibe with a variety of music everything from the 70s to current, you can also ask the DJs for song wishes.
How was it, really?
This was my first time at an all-inclusive resort. My boyfriend was lucky to win it at his job. I liked it a lot. If I have to point out something negative I would say that it is a little too big for me, the distances are very large. The staff also avoided you a little bit more if you didn't give them tips. If you have already checked out but allowed to stay until your flight goes, don't expect to get served unless you ask specifically.
Overall it is a place of a dream. A great resort for groups, work trips and Spring break. We stayed only 4 days, which I think was enough. It is more common to stay a week and longer. The resort offers day tours to the Cenotes, Playa Las Mujeres, Chitzen Itza, diving and snorkelling trips.
